Angelina Jolie was so jealous of Jennifer Aniston: So will Brad Pitt go back to his ex?

Jolie says he's 'boring and toxic'. Brad says she needs to see a shrink. Now, as the world's most famous couple divide up six children and nine houses, the REAL question is: Will he go back to his ex?

Gone 10pm in the award-winning Alto restaurant in Midtown Manhattan, and the world's most famous showbusiness couple have already been there for four hours.

They've sunk five bottles of wine (two red, two white and an Italian dessert wine) and eaten a four-course dinner, while the friends they were discussing charity work with have long gone.

Now, as fellow diners including actor Alec Baldwin look on, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are struggling to keep their emotions in check. He looks close to tears as he tells the mother of their children that she needs to get psychiatric help or he will leave her.

She hisses back to Brad that she's bored with him, she considers him 'toxic' and wants him out of her life.

It is said to be this dinner, earlier this month, that finally sealed the fate of the Brangelina story which has fascinated the world ever since Brad left Jennifer Aniston six years ago to be with Angelina, his co-star in Mr And Mrs Smith, the film he was working on.

When the pair left the restaurant an hour later, Angelina looked grim and determined. Brad wore an expression of deep concern as they stepped into their large people-carrier.
Were their strained looks an indication of what was going through their minds? For it was reported yesterday that a few days later the pair walked into a Beverly Hills lawyer's office to finalise the terms of their split. Although they never married, they have six children, a £205 million fortune, and several homes between them.

Compared to their years of rows with differing opinions on everything from how to bring up their children to art and world poverty, their meeting at the lawyer appears to have gone smoothly. They will have joint custody of the children, who will live with Angelina.

They will split their fortune evenly and have agreed how they will share their extensive property portfolio. The couple own five houses on the Loz Feliz estate in Los Angeles and the 35-bedroom, £20million palace Chateau Miravel in the South of France.

They also own an island in Dubai in the shape of Ethiopia, a wildlife reserve and several villages in Cambodia, as well as a £1.2 million house in the French Quarter of New Orleans.

And they recently leased a £30 million home in Long Island, where Angelina filmed Salt.

Brad also has a £9 million house in Malibu where he lived with Jennifer Aniston. He put it on the market a year ago, but has decided to keep it.

The actor was noticeably absent at the Screen Actors' Guild awards on Saturday night, despite his film Inglourious Basterds winning a prize for outstanding cast of a motion picture.

But perhaps the most telling sign of things to come took place the night before when Brad, 46, attended the internationally publicised celebrity telethon to raise funds for Haiti - with his former wife Aniston.

Angelina, 34, is notoriously prickly about Jennifer, and Brad has only ever been seen publicly at the same event as his ex-wife on one previous occasion - last year's Oscars - and then he had Angelina at his side.

Although, until now, Angelina has always seemed to have had the upper hand in the famous love triangle which has so fascinated the public, she has never got over the fact that Brad's family, and the public at large, has always preferred Jennifer to her.

Her jealousy about Jennifer, 40, has always been hard for Brad to fathom - particularly as Angelina is still close to both her ex-husbands.

As for Jennifer, she has struggled to find lasting romance since her marriage broke up, and has often admitted she still loves Brad. Only a year ago she spoke of her hurt when Angelina confirmed what had long been suspected - that the pair's affair started before Jennifer had split from Brad.

A few weeks before their Alto dinner, Brad and Angelina had a furious row over her jealousy - and according to one magazine Angelina physically attacked him when he admitted he had been in contact with his ex-wife.

He has furiously denied allegations that he has actually spent time with Jennifer, but numerous sources say she has, very ironically, been a shoulder for him to cry on as his relationship with Angelina has crumbled.

But Brad being seen with Jennifer is far from the only clue to an imminent split. You have only to look at Brad and Angelina to see how this is affecting them both.

Once half of the sexiest couple in Hollywood, Brad, who used to be so fastidious about his appearance, now looks little better than a tramp, with his ridiculous greying beard and growing paunch. He has also made no secret that he has been taking consolation in drink - frequently boasting to journalists on a recent junket about how he was still drunk from the night before.
Angelina, meanwhile, is frighteningly skinny. Her weight is said to have fallen to less than 71/2st.

Although sources close to the family deny the separation is happening, there is every indication that, in reality, the pair have been living separate lives for a long time. Brad recently bought a house in the same development of their Los Angeles base so they do not have to sleep under the same roof on the rare occasions when they are both in town.

When they stay in hotels - and much of their lives is spent in them, as they both continue to work on movie sets - they sleep in separate bedrooms, with her in the main suite and him in a bedroom next to their children.

Hotel worker Anna Kowalski, who liaised with the couple at their recent stays at the Waldorf Astoria in New York, said: 'I didn't see any kind of connection between Pitt and Jolie.
pugh.jpg

'I've seen no family dinners, no movie nights, no dinners for the two of them alone. At night Angelina drinks white or red wine in the suite; Brad is always in the lounge drinking beer. He just sits by himself texting on his phone for hours.'

She added that, when they did go out, it was usually a stage-managed event to counteract rumours of problems in their relationship. 'It's always a big production,' she said. 'It's all orchestrated down to which door they will take.'

Sources say there is little doubt about what Angelina is going to do now. First, she will move the family to Chateau Miravel, the couple's lavish home in Provence, which she will use as a base while she films her next movie, The Tourist, in Prague and Venice.

Because of strict privacy laws in France, she will be able to mourn her relationship in peace, but no one will be surprised if some shots of her looking tragic somehow make it into the newspapers.

Once free of Brad, she also plans to fulfil her dream of adopting yet another child; it is her determination to continue to adopt children that has been one of the couple's biggest sources of aggravation.

Angelina had already adopted one child, Maddox, who is now seven and from Cambodia, when she and Brad first got together.

In the five years since, they have acquired five more children.

Three are natural born; three-year-old Shiloh and one-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. And there are two more adopted children; Zahara, four, and five-year-old Pax.

The pair are permanently exhausted from looking after their brood and Brad describes their home life as 'chaos'. But almost as soon as she had given birth to her twins, Angelina started to talk about adopting another child.

Angelina has always been happy to parade her humanitarian credentials, and it was when she was filming Tomb Raider in 2001 in Cambodia that she first became aware of humanitarian crises overseas. She started to visit refugee camps all over the world and later that year became a goodwill ambassador to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

She is said to feel immensely guilty about having her own children when there are so many unwanted orphans in the world.

She feels the couple's genetic children have each other, while Maddox and Pax, who are both boys from the Far East, are best friends. But Zahara, adopted from Ethiopia, needs a sibling who looks like her.

Angelina started her hunt for another child from Africa seven months ago. She has been looking in Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa for an easy way to adopt. Brad doesn't agree with the plans.

He never felt any guilt about the couple's genetic children - he just adores them. He also felt the whole family needed some time without the upheaval of introducing yet another sibling and, as the relationship crumbled, he became even more concerned about bringing a vulnerable new child into it.
Brad Pitt

He was also worried that Angelina's almost desperate need to keep adopting, keep working, and keep doing her charity work was to cover up the depression she has been unable to shake off since the death of her actress mother Marcheline Bertrand from ovarian cancer three years ago.

There are rumours that Angelina even attempted suicide at the end of last year and it seems clear that the actress is working so hard at keeping herself busy that something is eventually going to give.

She has suffered from depression in the past: as a teenager she grappled with an eating disorder and self-mutilation. And in 2000, shortly after winning an Oscar for Girl, Interrupted, she checked herself into a mental home, insisting to horrified staff - and wholly without foundation - that she had murdered someone and also that she had tried to hire a hitman to kill her.

Knowing her history, Brad is said to have begged Angelina to seek psychiatric help this time around - but she has refused. Worries about the impact of her constant jetting off to the world's trouble spots with a child or two have also led to constant rows.

Unlike Angelina, whose father is the actor Jon Voight, Brad had a traditional middle-class Southern Baptist family. He always hoped for a family; but he never expected it to be like this.

Even though they have a constant rota of six nannies, having six children is exhausting. Anxious to ensure the children do not get too attached to their nannies, the women are changed every few months. The children fight for their parents' attention.

The pair take turns at living without them. Angelina rents a suite at the Raffles L'Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills to escape. Brad enjoys weeklong jaunts with friends to Europe, where he drinks and buys art.

When they spend so much time apart, in different parts of the world, it's no wonder that there have been numerous allegations of infidelity. Earlier this month it was claimed that Angelina had been sleeping with a vocal coach on her latest movie, Salt.

And last month Angelina added fuel to the fire of allegations when she told a German magazine: 'Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other.

'I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It's worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards.'

Another huge source of contention is Angelina's brother James Haven. He first became a subject of public fascination when his sister picked up her first and only Oscar, saying she was 'so in love with my brother right now' before giving him a long kiss on the lips.

A friend says: 'Angie adores him so much that Shiloh was named after him - it was his family nickname.'

All Brad and Angelina's rows have served to show the pair just how ill-matched they are. While the couple may initially have been bewitched by an extraordinary sexual magnetism which saw them spending whole days in bed together, those differences have since come to the fore.

Both are tired of the rows and the unhappiness. One question arises from the collapse of the Pitt-Jolie household. Does it mean Brad doing a lot more charity work with a certain Jennifer Aniston - as he was on Friday night?

'We never restrict each other': Angelina Jolie speaks about her relationship with Brad Pitt and says fidelity is not essential

She allegedly got together with Brad Pitt when he was still married, and it appears as though fidelity is still not high on Angelina Jolie's list of priorities.

The actress has revealed that the couple do not restrict each other and says she doubts fidelity is essential.

Speaking to German magazine Das Neue, the 34 year-old said: 'I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It's worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards.
Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other.'

However, she added that the couple have a fiery relationship at times.

She said: 'The sparks fly at home if the nice Brad fails to see that he's wrong and reacts in a defiant way. Then I can get so angry that I tear his shirt.'
The revelation will shock fans of the couple, who have have a family of six children, three of whom are adopted.

Brad and Angelina first got together in 2005, allegedly while filming on the set of Mr And Mrs Smith, when Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston.

And although seemingly condoning infidelity in the interview with Das Neue, Angelina has denied Brad Pitt cheated on Jennifer Aniston with her.
She said: 'To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive. I could not look at myself in the morning, if I did that.'

A new book, Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, by author Ian Halperin, makes a number of claims about their relationship - including accusations that Angelina Jolie of maintains a jungle hideaway in Cambodia where she used to meet former lover Jenny Shimizu for trysts.

Halperin also alledges that Brad Pitt had several liasons with an obscure Sudanese model, whom he allegedly met in 2007.

The Canadian undercover reporter, claims to have gained access to several insiders close to the couple, and it's these sources who have provided the material used to write his book.

He said: 'When I was undercover as a paparazzi at the Chateau Miraval in 2006 when she was giving birth to the twins, I was able to befriend several people working for them.

'Everyone was at the hospital at Nice while Angie was in there, but I stayed behind.

'I knew that was my golden opportunity to befriend several people close to them. That's when I made my really key sources.'

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt look so in love at charity ball

A newly released unauthorised biography claims there are 'irreparable tensions' in Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's relationship, but there was certainly no sign of strain as they attended a charity ball in Los Angeles last night.

The tactile couple didn't leave each other's side as they mingled among the star-studded crowd at a UNICEF ball at the Beverly Wilshire.

The couple, who have six children, revelled in their night off parent duty and stole romantic moments at every opportunity.

Angelina, 34, a UNICEF ambassador, was seen gazing adoringly at her 46-year-old partner of five years and at one point ran her fingers through his hair.

While there were a host of stars at the event, including George Clooney, Matt Damon, Bruce Willis and Cindy Crawford, the couple were most interested in chatting with time with surprise guest Muhammad Ali.
They both appeared star-struck as they shook hands with the former boxer, who is considered one of the greatest heavyweight championship boxers of all time.

Angelina even launched in for a hug with the 67-year-old, who suffers from Parkinson's Syndrome.

It was clear that the Hollywood couple remain unshaken by the allegations made in Ian Halperin's new book, Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

'They've broken up so many times it would make your head spin,' the author claims, declaring the couple will break up by 'Christmas 2010.'

But it all looked rosy last night as they put their support behind the charity.

The evening was designed to honour individuals who made key contributions to UNICEF's mission to save and improve children lives worldwide.

Producer and long-time philanthropist Jerry Weintraub was honored as Man of the Year with UNICEF's Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award.

The evening raised more money for the organisation than any UNICEF Ball to date.

Weintraub, Pitt, Clooney, Damon and Don Cheadle allo donated $250,000 to help the organisation's mission to reduce the number of preventable deaths of children from 24,000 to zero.

Weintraub directed the actor's in Ocean's Eleven and it's follow-up franchise.

Other guests included Joan Collins, Larry David, Selena Gomez, Benji Madden and Joel Madden and Alyssa Milano.

Brad's with the boys in Vegas, Angelina's got the girls in New York... so where are the twins?

With six children aged seven and under, it can be a struggle for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to spend quality time with all their children.
The busy parents are been jet-setting all over the world in the last few months attending premieres and award ceremonies, leaving them less time than usual to spend with their precious brood.

So as they nervously prepare for Sunday's Oscars - for which they have both been nominated - Brad and Angelina have been taking time out to hang out with their children.

While Angelina was spotted with eldest daughters Zahara Marley, four; and Shiloh Nouvel, two, in New York, Brad touched down in Las Vegas with oldest sons Maddox, seven; and Pax, five.

The appearance of the couple at different ends of the country left the question, where were seven-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne?

The babies have rarely be seen in public, with the couple wisely preferring to keep them behind closed doors.

Brad, 45, touched down in Nevada's Sin City with two of his boys for a brief break before the Oscars on Sunday.

He checked into Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, where he reportedly summoned a delivery of three Nintendo Wiis to their suite.Brad was spotted treating his sons to dinner at the In-N-Out Burger restaurant before bringing them to the production of Cirque du Soleil's show KA.
The two young boys also popped into the nearby MGM Grand Hotel and Casino to see the resort's pet lions.Angelina, 33, arrived in New York earlier this week to househunt for a large apartment to house their family of eight.
The couple have already chosen a Long Island mansion to rent when Angelina films the upcoming flick Edwin A. Salt, but it is thought they want a second city base to be close to the set.

In between surveying apartments, Angelina was photographed taking Shiloh and Zahara for a spot of retail therapy at their favourite store, Lee's Art Shop.

Brad and Angelina are expected to come face-to-face with the actor's ex-wife Jennifer Aniston at the Academy Awards, where the former Friends actress is presenting an award.

Fortunately for Jennifer, she will have the support of boyfriend John Mayer, who announced he will be her date on the red carpet.

Brad is up for Best Actor for The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, while Angelina is up for Best Actress for The Changeling.

She may have her father Brad's eyes. But he's not responsible for that rosebud of a mouth.

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt appears to have inherited her mother Angelina's plump lips.

The two-year-old, pictured in New York this week, is turning out to be a striking combination of her famous parents.
On the outing in New York, she toddled alongside her mother and her adopted sister Zahara.

As one would expect from the daughters of film stars, the sisters were looking glamorous. Both were wearing black leggings and had bright pink painted nails.

Their little brother and sister, seven-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne, were left at home while the group did a spot of shopping.

EXCLUSIVE: 'What Angelina did was very uncool,' says Jennifer Aniston as she slams love rival in new interview

For years, Jennifer Aniston has maintained a dignified silence about the woman who famously stole her husband.

Now she has decided to share with the world her utter contempt for Angelina Jolie.

In the forthcoming issue of U.S. Vogue, Miss Aniston, 39, gives a searing condemnation of her notorious nemesis.

In an outburst that will lift the lid on their four-year feud, Miss Aniston icily told the publication: 'What Angelina did was very uncool'.

The brief yet explosive comment marks the first occasion that the former Friends star has spoken out publicly about her love rival.

It comes just a fortnight after Miss Jolie, 33, revealed that she and Pitt had 'fell in love' during the making of Mr and Mrs Smith in 2004, despite previously claiming their romance only started after filming.

A source said: 'This interview shows that Jennifer is no longer afraid of Angelina,' adding: 'It's hugely significant.'

In the magazine's December issue, Miss Aniston is said by industry insiders to have given her most candid interview yet, offering countless details about her new Beverly Hills estate, her unusual relationship with her parents, and intimate secrets about her romantic life.
Enlarge Star of the film Brad Pitt and his wife Jennifer Aniston arrive for the premiere of Troy, at the Palais de Festival during the 57th Cannes Film Festival in France. Thursday 13 May 2004

'She's never been this honest or brave in an interview before,' said the source, who has seen the completed, lengthy package, due on sale in the U.S. in a few days.

The source added: 'This certainly raises the bar on celebrity profiles. Jennifer opens up about her sex life, her career, and her feelings about life after her divorce.

'She must have had a lot on her mind, because she lets go on everything.'

MailOnline has learned that Miss Aniston's new Vogue appearance features the actress posing in erotic designer swimsuits and bearing her toned body on the sun-kissed beaches of Malibu.

'This thoroughly re-establishes her credibility as a sex symbol,' the source went on, adding: 'Her body has never looked tighter or more fit.'

But her thoughts on Miss Jolie, who famously started a family with Pitt, will indubitably attract the most attention.

The cover prominently blares: 'What Angelina did was very uncool', which appears to be a direct jab at Miss Jolie's 2007 interview with the same magazine.

During that interview, Miss Jolie condescendingly offered to meet with Miss Aniston to hash things out and resolve their feud.

'If she wanted to [meet] then I would be open to it,' she famously told the publication.

Meanwhile Miss Jolie, currently promoting a new film, revealed yesterday that she and Pitt plan to have more children together.

Speaking in Hollywood alongside Dustin Hoffman, she told reporters: 'I have a great partner. He's the best daddy and we have fun, so whenever it gets hard we can just look at each other and find a way to laugh about and just appreciate that they're only little once, and we should enjoy every minute.

On adding to their brood, she said: 'Anything could happen. We're open to anything, we love kids and we're having a great time. It's chaos in our house but it's so much fun. We'll definitely have more.'

Angelina Jolie as a fresh faced teen... before the tattoos and vials of blood

The bee-stung lips, bedroom eyes and long dark locks were there from the beginning.

But these pictures of Angelina Jolie, taken when she was 16, highlight just what has changed since she became a star.

Her unblemished glowing skin is a distant memory. Angelina, now 33, is understood to have at least 13 tattoos decorating her body, including the geographical co-ordinates of her children's birthplaces etched on to her left shoulder.

And the carefree innocence of 16-year-old Angelina's grin has been replaced by a perfect Hollywood smile.

These photos, which have just come to light, were taken when Angelina was an aspiring unknown.

The rebellious daughter of actor Jon Voight, Angelina's teens were a tumultuous time for her. At 14, she was permitted to move in her older boyfriend into her mother Marcheline Bertrand's LA home and later dropped out of acting classes at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute.

Estranged from her father, she has since admitted to suffering bouts of depression, but went on to return to theatre studies and graduate from Beverly Hills High School.

Sixteen years on and the twice-divorced actress is a mother-of-six, having just given birth to twins with her partner Brad Pitt. They are now the proud parents of Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline born in July, Shiloh, two, and adopted children Zahara from Ethiopia, Pax from Vietnam and Maddox from Cambodia.

Since the shoot Angelina has courted controversy with a shock red-carpet kiss with her brother James Haven and a bisexual relationship with Calvin Klein model Jenny Shimizu. She even wore a vial of her then husband Billy Bob Thornton's blood around her neck.

But in the past five years and with an Oscar under her belt for Girl Interrupted, Angelina has tamed her wild child ways, successfully transforming herself into a box-office star, UN goodwill ambassador and mother.

And today she showed just how far she has come since posing for these photos as she and Brad donated $2million to help Ethiopian children affected by AIDS and tuberculosis.

The Global Health Committee said the donation from the Jolie-Pitt Foundation would establish a centre in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa to treat AIDS orphans and develop a programme to treat drug-resistant tuberculosis.

Angelina and Brad adopted Zahara, now three, in July 2005 and the new clinic will be named after her.

'It is our hope that when Zahara is older, she will take responsibility for the clinic and continue its mission,' Brad said.

The Jolie-Pitt Foundation helped set up a similar clinic in 2006 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, that is named after Maddox.

'Our goal is to transfer the success we have had in Cambodia to Ethiopia where people are needlessly dying of tuberculosis, a curable disease, and HIV/AIDS, a treatable disease,' Angelina said.

Brad Split: The busy Hollywood dad tears his trousers

A devoted father-of-six, Brad Pitt clearly doesn't have the time to pay attention to his wardrobe like he used to.

But the Hollywood hunk committed a fashion own-goal yesterday when he ventured outside with an embarrassing split in his trousers.

The 44-year-old wore his loose linen trousers complete with a tear in the derrière region.

The Ocean's Eleven actor was enjoying a day out in Saint-Paul de Vence in the south of France with his playful daughter Zahara and his parents Jane and William.

The Pitts were visiting the Maeght Foundation museum, a short drive from the rented chateau where the family is staying following the birth of Brad and Angelina Jolie's twins Vivienne and Knox last month.

Pictures of the newborns and their proud parents were recently published in Hello! magazine for £7.5million, a world record for a magazine deal.

In the exclusive, Pitt revealed Jolie is breast-feeding the two babies and has been attempting to feed them both at the same time.

He said: 'We try to get them to eat simultaneously for the sake of time management, but it gets a little crowded at the bar.'

First pictures of Brad and Angelina's newborn twins... the most expensive baby snaps ever

These are the pictures the world has been waiting to see - the newest additions to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's growing brood.

The Hollywood couple sold the rights to the first pictures of their newborn twins - Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline - and they are released today for the very first time.

Hello! magazine paid a staggering £7.5million for the photos and they will be the most expensive baby pictures ever.

After a fierce contest between the celebrity magazines, Hello! outbid its rival OK! magazine for the rights to the pictures, and even brought its publication date forward to August 4 to capitalise on the coup.

The issue has been flying off the news stands and is expected to enjoy record sales.

A sales assistant for a WH Smiths in central London told Mail Online: 'The issue has been selling really well. Every other person who comes in is buying it.

'Usually people buy Heat or OK! as well but today it's been mainly Hello!'

In America, People magazine, which did a joint deal with Hello!, took the unusual step of putting the front cover on their internet site.

The front page appeared online at 7pm eastern time last night in a bid to publicise today's magazine issue.

A special edition was rushed out featuring the couple's happy news to coincide with the publication of Hello! magazine.
The babies have certainly been worth the wait - born to arguably Hollywood's most attractive couple, the twins were always going to be gorgeous.

Blessed with their mother's famous large lips, just like their little sister Shiloh before them, these two are bound to be heart-breakers.

And nestling together with their parents - the photos couldn't paint a more perfect family picture.

In the magazine interview, Angelina says: 'It is chaos but we are managing it and having a wonderful time.'

Doting dad Brad, meanwhile, confides: 'Viv is proving to resemble Ange in spirit, attitude and physicality… And Knox, he's a bit of me.'

The Troy star admits he was in awe of Angelina during the pregnancy and subsequent arrival of the twins via caesarean section.

He said: 'I find the process absolutely heroic.'

Brad revealed Angelina is breast-feeding the two babies and has been attempting to feed the two at the same time.

He said: 'We try to get them to eat simultaneously for the sake of time management, but it gets a little crowded at the bar.'

In the accompanying interview, Angelina denied reports she had undergone fertility treatment to 'speed up' becoming pregnant.

She said: 'If they had been conceived through IVF we would have been happy to discuss it.'

The couple have been living on the French Riviera since May and have recently been joined by Brad's parents Jane and William.

Money from the sale of the pictures will be donated to their charity Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which helps disadvantaged children around the world.

The twins have remained hidden from public view since they were born at Lenval hospital in the south of France on July 13.

The tiny babies were born a minute apart - Knox Leon came first weighing 5lbs 3oz, while younger sibling Vivienne was 5lbs.

Their arrival increases the Jolie-Pitt clan to a family of eight, which include their four older children, Maddox, 7, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and two-year-old Shiloh.

Jolie, 33, whose late mother Marcheline was French-Canadian and loved visiting France, has also bought a chateau in the country to retain her Gallic heritage.

Brangelina's first biological child, Shiloh Nouvel was born in Namibia in May 2006.

Pictures of her were sold to Hello! for £2million, which the couple donated to charity.

They have also adopted three children: six-year-old Maddox Chivan, from Cambodia; Zahara Marley, aged three, from Ethiopia; and four-year-old Pax Thien from Vietnam.

A magazine insider said: 'This is one of the publishing sensations of the decade - Brad and Angelina are the dream couple of the glossy magazine world and we expect to triple our circulation because of the public's fascination and interest in the couple and their children.'

The American rights to the pictures will go to People magazine, which also published the first images of their daughter Shiloh in 2006.

Once the world's most expensive baby pictures, the stakes were raised last year when the first images of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony's twins Max and Emme went for a bank-breaking £3million.

Does Angelina Jolie Know: Brad Pitt Steps Out in Cannes With Ex

Angelina Jolie is very close to many of her exes, is it the same with Brad Pitt? Jolie's second hubby Billy Bob Thornton claims he still talks with Jolie often and there is always reports of Brad still talking and e-mailing his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. But a report claims that Pitt shocked a few people in Cannes when he stepped out with ex-girlfriend Juliette Lewis.

So is Brad Pitt actually stepping out on his very pregnant baby mama, Angelina Jolie? Not really, but while in France with his family for the Cannes Film Festival, Brad had onlookers wondering what exactly was going on when he was spotted eating with ex-girlfriend Juliette Lewis on May 14 at Sass Cafe in Monaco, a report from this week's Star reveals.

"They ate salads, drank beer and talked for more than an hour before leaving separately," a source spilled to the weekly entertainment magazine. And even though the lunch date looked purely platonic, Brad kissed Juliette, who acts as well as sings in a band, on the cheek when he left.

How sweet. I guess he forgave her for telling fans at a Seattle show in 2007 that he wasn't very well endowed. Of course not many believed her, as there are still those full frontal photos of Brad that show off his body back when he was dating Gwyneth Paltrow.

Angelina and Brad hit the red carpet in Cannes on the day it's confirmed they are expecting twins

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt hit the carpet in Cannes tonight on the same day the pregnant star confirmed they were expecting twins.

The glamorous mum-to-be wore an flowing emerald dress for the premiere of her new animated film, Kung Fu Panda, in which she provides the voice of Master Tigress.

The news about the couple's double baby-joy was accidentally broken today by Jack Black, who also appears in the film.

Angelina and Brad hit the red carpet in Cannes on the day it's confirmed they are expecting twins

Black let slip the actress was expecting twins and fellow co-star Dustin Hoffman put his foot in it by announcing the date their co-star is due to give birth – August 19.

Ironically, both Black and Hoffman let slip the secret details to the same reporter, Natalie Morales of The Today Show.

It appears that even Hollywood is excited about Brad and Angie's baby news. Reporter Morales, who surely couldn't believe her luck said: "It seems like everybody seems to be bursting at the scenes around her with her baby news".

Veteran Hoffman has starred with Jolie's dad, Jon Voight, in his breakthrough movie 'Midnight Cowboy' (1969).

At a press conference today about the film, asked about reports she was planning to give birth in France, she replied that she had not completely decided, but added: "We are certainly thinking of France."

She said French was a second language which her children were starting to speak "so being here is very good for them at this time".

At the photocall Black looked somewhat sheepish, as well he should, as it was his slip of the tongue that forced Angelina to confirm reports that she and Pitt were expecting twins, on the opening day of the annual film festival.

Angelina and Brad hit the red carpet in Cannes on the day it's confirmed they are expecting twins

Yesterday Jack and Angelina were having a joint interview to promote their film at the festival when the actor said to her: "You're gonna have as many as (the) Brady Bunch when you have these."

Asked if she was expecting twins, Angelina replied, "Yeah, yeah, we've confirmed that already. Well, Jack's just confirmed it actually."

"Is that true?", Black said jokingly, to which Jolie laughingly replied, "Yeah, you did".

But the star stopped short of revealing the gender of what will be her fifth and six children, and said: "We would like to keep that private".

The 32-year-old arrived alone for the interview at the Carlton Palace hotel with U.S. 'Today' show host Natalie Morales.

The couple are said to have chosen France for the location of the birth of their twins, in tribute to Angelina's French-Canadian mother Marcheline Bertrand who died last year.

Angelina is keen to embrace her French roots, and the couple are reported to have bought a chateau in the south of France, and Maddox is enrolled at a French school in the US.

The news that Angelina is expecting twins will take their brood to a burgeoning six members.

They already have a biological daughter Shiloh, 23 months, and children Maddox, seven, Pax, four, and Zahara, three.

Angelina's latest film, Changeling - a 1920s thriller directed by Clint Eastwood - is in the running for the coveted Palme d'Or award at Cannes.

Stars including Julianne Moore, Cate Blanchett and Eva Longoria dressed up to attend the film's premiere at Cannes last night.

But despite their best efforts on the red carpet, it was Angelina who stole the limelight with her baby news.

Angelina Jolie's pregnant feast

Angelina Jolie has been gorging on calorific treats throughout her pregnancy.

The Oscar-winning beauty - who is rumoured to be expecting twins with partner Brad Pitt - was allegedly seen filling up on high-fat foods during a meal out at Hollywood restaurant Marino.

A source told Britain's Star magazine: "She ate everything in sight. Penne arrabiata and two starters, as well as several bread rolls. She also tucked into profiteroles for dessert - which are her favourite - and took an apple pie to go."

In the early stages of her pregnancy, Angelina reportedly craved mustard-smothered onion rings and cinnamon chilli chocolates.

A source close to the actress said: "Angelina's been eating onion rings with mustard and a box of chocolates in the same sitting! She loves these bars that are dark chocolate and cinnamon mixed with Mexican chillies for an added kick."

Angelina - who already has three adopted children, Maddox, Pax, and Zahara, as well as a biological daughter Shiloh with Brad - has also been gorging on treats made by her kids.

The source added: "Angelina's been splurging on cupcakes that Maddox and Zahara have been making."

Actor thinks their family will be complete after birth of twins

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are rumoured to be rowing over the size of their family.

The actress is pregnant for a second time and is thought to be expecting twins. The couple already have adopted children Maddox, 6, Pax Thien, 4, Zahara, 3, and biological daughter Shiloh, 23 months.

In a furious row two weeks ago, Brad, 44, is said to have issued her with an ultimatum: 'No more kids – our family's complete.'

Angelina, 32, has made it clear she would like a huge family, but Brad is said to find juggling career and childcare a strain.

'Brad loves being a dad and enjoys nothing more than spending time with the children,' says a source.

'But he's constantly tired from working so hard and then mucking in at home. All the sleepless nights are taking their toll.'

Now the 39-year-old has formed Echo Films with Hahn, who is best known as an executive producer on Martin Scorsese's The Departed.
The company is already reported to have lined up a variety of projects taken from books and real life stories, most of which will see Aniston take the lead role.

Confirming the move in a statement, Aniston and Hahn say: "We're drawn to stories about people finding their voice and finding their way because they help us as listeners and viewers do what we feel we're all trying to do, which is making sense of our lives through the stories of others.

"That's why we chose the name Echo, to echo back an idea, a challenge, something that resonates through all of us."
