The six-months long faux-mance of Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal has, yet again, come to an end. Let's hope for good this time. The pair, who are starring together in the upcoming film, "Rendition," were quite cold to each other while in Toronto promoting the movie at the film festival. Per a source:“This is the harshest split they’ve had. Reese told Jake it’s best they don’t talk at all.”Like we've ever seen them all cuddly and chatty before! This whole relationship seems to have existed more in the pages of People magazine than it has in, you know, reality (what? People magazine doesn't reflect reality? Say it isn't so!)Of course, as any good "source" will do, US Weekly was assured that though the two are a "rocky couple" it wouldn't be a surprise if they got back together. Sure, they've still got the movie's U.S. premiere to get through before the final "we're still friends" story is leaked and Jake can go back to hanging out with Austin Nichols.
