Forgotten who you are then, Emma Watson? Harry Potter star's bizarre homemade tattoo

She is best known for playing the same character since she was just 11 years old.
So perhaps it is not surprising Emma Watson appears to have forgotten who she is.
The 18-year-old actress, who stars as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, was pictured with 'Be Emma' scrawled on her chest in ink after a night out with friends. It is not known who wrote it. She looked slightly bleary-eyed as she emerged from fashionable Covent Garden bar Bungalow 8, having started her evening at the Whisky Mist club in Mayfair.

Despite her growing reputation as a teenage fashion icon – she has appeared in Vogue and recently signed a contract with Chanel – the actress stepped out in nothing more glamorous than a worn pair of jeans, T-shirt and black cardigan.
Miss Watson, who gained four As at A-level, recently revealed how she plans to take a break from acting and return to full-time education.
She has said she wishes to study for an English degree at one of America's Ivy League colleges or at Oxbridge.
'I would like to go to university,' she has said.'I have a need now to study.'And she has spoken of how she hates to be seen as a sex object.'I know everyone wants a picture of me in a miniskirt,' she said.'But that's not me. It's nothing to do with protecting the Hermione image. I'd never go out in a miniskirt.'

From Hermione to amazing Grace: Emma Watson's stunning new look

The porcelain elegance, faraway expression and sparkle of diamonds say Grace Kelly.

But then that was exactly what Emma Watson was hoping for.

The 18-year-old who made her name in the Harry Potter films is an actress after all.

And in a series of glamorous photos for Italian Vogue, she showed she can play roles rather more grown-up than Harry's magical sidekick Hermione Granger.

Miss Watson was photographed by Mark Seliger, whose previous subjects have included the rather less glamorous Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Kurt Cobain.

Mark encouraged me to become a different person or character for each photograph and so they all tell different stories,' she explained.
Grace kelly'So, in the end, I combined two loves: art and fashion and acting. I learned a lot and have found a whole new respect for the hard work models put into their work and for the couture. A love affair has begun.'

Miss Watson, who is currently working on the final Harry Potter film, is becoming a familiar face on the fashion circuit.

She has signed up to the Storm agency which also represents Kate Moss, Carla Bruni and Lily Cole.

The young actress, said to be heading for university post-Potter, could find herself in demand as a cover girl instead.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson's A Level hat-trick: Three straight As

Young, beautiful and brainy. Things just seem to be getting better by the day for Emma Watson.

Already a millionaire at 18 and with a long list of potential suitors beating a path to her door, she has just received some more good news.

Collecting her A-Level results yesterday made happy reading for the Harry Potter star after she was awarded straight A grades.

The teenager, who rose to fame playing young wizard Hermione in the film series, had a message to fans posted on her website delivering the news.
It read: "Emma has received her A-Level results and we are absolutely delighted to let you all know that she received straight A's in her three chosen subjects namely English literature, geography and art!

"As you can imagine Emma is absolutely thrilled and we are all very proud of her. Well done Emma!"

Despite once declaring that she has already earned enough money never to have to work again, she has always insisted that her fame will not stand in the way of her education.

Friends say that the brainy star is now hoping to secure a place at Cambridge University to read Philosophy.

Despite appearing in the first Harry Potter film when she was nine, Watson managed to achieve ten A grades in her GCSEs two years ago.

Her achievements are made all the more remarkable for the amount of time she has spent outside the classroom.

Because of her hectic filming schedule she has had to have a private tutor on set to give her impromptu lessons during breaks in filming.

She was given Monday mornings off by producers to attend school and would be sent assignments by her teachers every Friday.

Her completed homework had to be couriered between the studio and her school for teachers to mark.
It poses and interesting dilemma for Miss Watson, who will now have to decide whether to commit to her acting or take a break to complete her degree.

Her role in the five Harry Potter films to date have earned her a £10.5million fortune and she recently signed a £2.5million deal to star in the sixth.

For the final instalment of the franchise - to be split into two separate films - she will be paid £1.5million for each.

However, her desire to go to university has apparently been fuelled by her parents Chris and Jacqueline, who both went to Oxford.

Producers are now said to have agreed to scheduled filming of the last movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, around her university timetable, should she decided to go.

It was also revealed that in June this year, Miss Watson had signed a £3million deal to model for Chanel.

Meanwhile the new Harry Potter film, Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince has been delayed for release until 2009, to coincide with the money spinning summer box office season.

Emma Watson: 'Radcliffe And I Will Never Be A Couple'.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson is so sick of the media speculation surrounding her friendship with co-star Daniel Radcliffe, she has vowed never to start a romance with the actor.

Watson, who plays Potter's sidekick Hermione Granger in the hit film franchise, is convinced fans of the boy wizard series desperately want her and Radcliffe to become a couple in real life - because their characters fail to unite in author J.K. Rowling's books.

And the 18-year-old blames the public's desire for the union for the constant press speculation about their relationship.
She says, "Dan Radcliffe is very charming, and very, very sweet and knows how to handle it (the rumours about their relationship). We've been handling this situation for six years now.

"Everyone has been going, 'Are you and Dan together?' Because it doesn't happen in the books, everyone is so desperate for it to happen in real life that any opportunity to come up with a story about it is taken".

Emma Watson Dismisses Borrell Dating Rumours.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson has laughed off rumours she is dating rocker Johnny Borrell after the pair were spotted leaving a star-studded party together.

The actress - who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise - was linked to the Razorlight frontman after the pair posed for photographers outside the Vanity Fair and Burberry Portraits party at the National Gallery in London on Monday (11Feb08).
Subsequently, the 17-year-old was spotted sharing a cab with the British rocker, 27, to another fashion party thrown by designers PPQ.

However, the rising star is shocked by the assumptions, and jokes she should create new romance rumours by getting snapped with other famous men - namely Orlando Bloom.

Writing on her official website's blog, the actress says: "I met Johnny Borrell who is modeling for Burberry at the moment and went on to PPQ in the same cab.

"I'd never met him before so that was great as I'm a big Razorlight fan. But goodness, I am really going to have to watch who I stand next to from now on! "Maybe I should stand next to Orlando Bloom and then we can be said to be dating."
