It’s a girl for Charlotte too

Charlotte Church has given birth to a daughter at home — with proud boyfriend Gavin Henson at her side. The singer and rugby star wept tears of joy at the baby’s arrival at 10.30 pm on Thursday, weighing just over 6lb. Two mid-wives were with Charlotte, 21, who bought a birthing pool for the delivery. She was determined to give birth in the £800,000 (Rs 6.44 crore) farmhouse in St Brides Major, Glamorgan, which the couple moved into last month.A friend said: “They are both thrilled to bits. The baby was a couple of days overdue but Charlotte managed to stay relaxed. She was so looking forward to having Gavin at the birth. They both found it emotional. I don’t think there was a dry eye anywhere. Maybe it was a blessing Gavin wasn’t picked for Wales in the World Cup. She was in labour during Wales vs Japan.”It is not clear whether Gavin, 25, and Charlotte have named their daughter. Church was keen on Ava, but changed her mind when musician Myleene Klass chose it for her baby.
